  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • Responsible for Cardiovascular Service Line Business Operations coordination including bookkeeping, benefits management, payroll, ongoing financial analysis, coding & billing concerns, contract management and analysis, purchase requisition and analysis, capital project management, strata & power-bi reporting, strategic planning.
    • This role supports all departments of the Cardiovascular Service Line including Eisenhower Desert Cardiology Center (EDCC), Cardiothoracic Surgery, Renker Wellness, Glickman Cardiac Care Clinic, Cath Lab, EP Lab, Special Procedures and Cardiology.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration or four (4) years of experience in coding, billing, finance, business operations specific to Cardiology in lieu of degree
      • Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration
    • Licensure/Certification

      • Required: Four (4) years of experience in coding, billing, finance, business operations specific to Cardiology or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration in lieu of experience

  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.
    • Financial/Revenue Cycle: Assists with review of financial statements and revenue cycle performance data, budget preparation and implementation of revenue cycle performance improvement strategies.  Participate in EMC Revenue Cycle and Finance department training and meetings as needed.
    • Prepares stratajazz & power-bi reports. 
    • Partners with EMC Finance in preparing annual budgets for all Cardiovascular Service Line cost centers.
    • Works with Leadership in developing, implementing and monitoring strategic planning for the Cardiovascular Service Line.
    • Analyzes coding and billing and works with EMC’s Billing Department to ensure accuracy and compliance for all Cardiac billing.
    • Prepares and analyzes patient satisfaction survey data and other performance related detail, including developing action plans. 
    • Oversees purchasing requisition & analysis for the Cardiovascular Service Line.
    • Prepares and files Corporation Statement of Information and Credible Coverage Disclosure with CMS, Accreditation.
    • Analyzes and oversees contracts, working directly with EMC’s Office of Legal Affairs to ensure all necessary contracts for the Cardiovascular Service Line, are timely reviewed and executed.  
    • Capital project management.
    • Assists with workforce planning and organizational restructuring projects.  Oversees the Cardiovascular Service Line centralized internal process for employee recruiting/onboard. Monitors and provides reports for employee productivity, payroll, and licensure/certification 
    • Oversees timekeeping, including monitoring, reporting and analyzing overtime expenses, missed meal period penalties, and overall compliance with EMC’s timekeeping policies and procedures.
    • Assists with information systems and telephone system problem-resolution.
    • Provides support for Desert Cardiology Physician’s group including; Administering benefit plan, open enrollment, payroll, retirement savings accounts, expense reimbursements, physician invoices, and prepares documents for accountant.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
