  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • The Communications Manager is responsible and accountable for the development, creation and completion of all Foundation publications, maintaining Foundation standards of excellence, for written communications (print/digital), photography, design, editing, publishing and presentation, for 12 basic areas within the Foundation department

  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Coordinates projects closely with Foundation team, including publication and communication goals, recommending the most appropriate communications vehicles to meet the goals, involving the donors and obtaining appropriate approvals, and clearly communicating project status and timing – all with the objective of attaining the highest possible level of donor and team satisfaction.
    • Writes and/or edits copy, and oversees development, production and distribution of a wide variety of communications materials (brochures, flyers, 24/7 Connections) for Eisenhower Health, its entities, products and services.
    • The manager will represent Eisenhower Health, and its brand, to philanthropic donors and patients, in a manner aligned with Eisenhower’s standards for excellence.
    • Producer of 24/7 Connections, including developing content in collaboration with leadership, editing, researching, writing, proofreading, copy editing, coordinating photo shoots, communicating with internal and external contributors, collaborating with photographer.
    • Assures cost effectiveness of all communications materials; maintains adherence to graphic standards (relative to use of the Eisenhower name, logo and image); and retains a clear graphic family relationship between all communications vehicles produced.
    • Identifies, coordinates and supervises various creative resources (e.g., photographers, graphic artists, printers, sign makers, promotional material suppliers, etc.) in producing a wide variety of communications projects.
    • Coordinates and oversees video and photo assignments performed by outside vendors, collaborates to develop and/or revise creative vision of internal projects, supplies images in support of various publications.
    • Maintains current knowledge of health care issues (including political and technological); develops and maintains an acute awareness of the interests, needs and sensitivities among the Foundation's various audiences; and maintains awareness of and proficiency in current trends and practices in fundraising.
    • Supports internal special events as well as Foundation’s involvement in externally sponsored or community events.
    • Works at all times to support a highly visible, favorable and consistent image of Eisenhower Health, and its entities, products and services to diverse internal and external audiences.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters. Adheres to Eisenhower Health Policy & Procedure and to HIPAA Guidelines for Release of Patient Information, as it relates to confidentiality and security of all people while they are on campus or at another Eisenhower entity, in particular by safeguarding and dissemination of information.
    • Organizes and manages the creation, design, development and publishing of Eisenhower Health Foundation Campaign materials, Annual Fund appeals, Circle of Stars programs and appeals, 24/7 materials, 24/7 Connections publication, Planned Giving materials, Foundation event invitations, website design and content updates, Philanthropy in Review organization and publication, philanthropy articles in Healthy Living magazine and Foundation marketing materials.
    • Responsible for managing or personally writing, designing, publishing and producing all recognition materials and communications for Eisenhower Foundation.
    • Responsible for managing all recognition and plaques applied to facilities, buildings and service lines.
