  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • The Grant Development is responsible for identifying funding opportunities in the biopharmaceutical and medical device sectors that are consistent with the identified professional performance gaps of healthcare professionals, collaborating with colleagues to devise interventions to close these gaps, and developing and submitting compelling requests for grant funding that result in achieving funding for Annenberg Center educational activities.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: Bachelors Degree
      • Preferred: Degree in life sciences or health care related field
    • Licensure/Certification
    • Experience
      • Required: 5 – 7 years of experience developing successful grants for funding in the biopharmaceutical sector on behalf of CE providers.
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Researches the medical literature related to areas for potential funding and analyzes the literature for professional performance gaps.
    • Writes compelling requests for educational grant funding.
    • Responds to RFPs as assigned.
    • Monitors funding environment and identifies funding opportunities related to ACHS interests and needs.
    • Tracks and monitors potential biopharmaceutical and funding interests.
    • Collaborates with colleagues to conceptualize educational interventions designed to close gaps.
    • Collaborates with internal team members to develop appropriate budgets.
    • Submits grants according to funder procedures.
    • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with industry education personnel as appropriate.
    • Follows up with grantors regarding the status of grants and reasons for denial for denied grants.
    • Participates as a team member in the implementation of funded activities.
    • Monitors the implementation of funded activities and provides status updates as appropriate.
    • Ensures that financial reconciliation and final reports are submitted to funders per funder requirements.
    • Networks with external vendors to stay current with learning vehicles and trends and to include advancing technologies into proposals as appropriate.
    • Meets goals for grant funding levels. 
    • Meets other annual goals as negotiated with supervisor.
    • Communicates and collaborates with clinical thought leaders and faculty in developing content and implementing programming.
    •  Meets goals for number of grants submitted.
    • Performs other tasks as assigned.
