  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • This position is responsible for supporting Eisenhower Medical Center’s (EMC) information security strategy at the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer.  The Information Security Analysts role focuses heavily on the following tasks: performing risk assessments, performing compliance audits, creating risk reports, performing vulnerability scans, assisting with Incident Response efforts, and reporting on key Information Security related metrics.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Preferred: AS or BA
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required: None
      • Preferred: CISA, HCISPP, Security+
    • Experience
      • Required: 4 years of experience in an Information Security or Information Technology role or a combination thereof
      • Preferred: Healthcare experience
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Identifies areas of risk by performing ongoing risk assessments, compliance audits, and vulnerability scans.
    • Identify and recommend corrective actions for identified risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Tracks progress of reported risks and provides regular reports on status.
    • Investigates new and emerging cybersecurity threats.
    • Ensures ongoing compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule and HITECH.
    • Assists with keeping Information Security related documentation up to date.
    • Assists with development of metrics to measure IT security and risk levels within the organization.
    • Performs “hands on” configuration of various security tools.
    • Participates in incident response initiatives and is a member of the computer incident response team.
    • Demonstrates excellent time and project management skills as well as organizational and personal skills to work with a variety of people.
