  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • Oversees and manages Letters of Agreement from grant initiation through to grant reconciliation and project termination. Shares managerial responsibility with Director over the Registration Database Administrator and Accreditation Specialist. Supports collaborative research activities at EMC. Works cohesively with the rest of the ACHS team, to identify and help implement pathways for improvement in the ACHS portfolio of professional activities. Fills in when the Department Director is away from the office, specifically assisting with grant reviews and covering other professional responsibilities as assigned. Oversees the development and submission of reaccreditation applications.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: College Degree
      • Preferred: Master's Degree; clinical background (e.g., RN, LVN)
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Preferred: CCMEP
    • Experience
      • Required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; including 2 years in a data intensive, high volume environment.
      • Preferred: Two years working with either the continuing education (CE) or continuing medical education (CME) accreditation systems. Two years' experience managing small teams. Clinical experience a plus.
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Oversee and process all CE joint sponsorship Letters of Agreement, both with the educational partner as well as the commercial supporters.
    • Track grants approved for submission, confirm that grants were submitted, establish outcomes, and then handle the grant reconciliation process at the end.
    • Along with the CE Department Director, oversee the work of the Registration Database Adminstrator and Accreditation Specialist, covering either role as necessary and attending to workflow problems as these arise.
    • Work with both the Registration Database Administrator and the CE Department Director to upgrade the performance of CME 360 and set data standards (both participants and evaluations) for joint sponsorship partners. Help guide the replacement of the current registration software, so that participant data can be integrated in one database.
    • Fulfill onsite professional responsibilities for EMC RSS's (Grand Rounds, Tumor Boards, M&M Conferences), when the Director is not available.
    • Assist as assigned with grant review, routing revew and other CE department professional responsibilities.
    • Support collaborative research activities at EMC, either by assisting with quantitative analysis, drafting reports or coordinating activities among EMC staff and physicians.
    • Oversee the reaccreditation application and self-study process for all ten of the ACHS CME and CE accreditations and approvals.
    • Work cohesively with the rest of the ACHS team, to identify and help implement operational improvements in overall ACHS workflow.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
