Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Assists with budget preparation.
- Oversees and assists in the performance of the preventive/ corrective maintenance and day to day operation of the department in accordance with all JCAHO, OSHA, SCAQMD, Department of Health and all regulatory agency requirements.
- Oversees all Environmental Services activities and provides the hiring, coaching and disciplinary duties.
- Coordinates the general maintenance activities for all Eisenhower Medical Center facilities.
- Trains, teaches, coaches and follows up on Environmental concerns and Maintenance. Ensures that work performed is completed in professional manner, completing work in a timely and quality manner.
- Assists with the procurement of services and supplies.
- Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the activities of all EVS and transport staff.
- Provides appropriate, fair and uniform administration of all policies and procedures including evaluations, counseling, disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Works close with management staff, vendors, and other members of the hospital staff and ensures the completion of assigned project within agreed upon times estimates.

- Prepares Pl and Quality reports for all EVS staff and ensures accuracy.
- Demonstrates responsibility for the containment of hospital costs through reviewing all requests for alternate cost saving measures.
- Communicates with the end user and Director when undue delays / conflicts occur in performing work.
- Conducts Safety Rounds to ensure the department meets all state, federal and JC standards.
- Coordinates and maintains all EVS employees’ work schedules, including holidays, vacations, etc.
