  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Develops office goals and objectives.
    • Coordinates and integrates services within the office.
    • Plans and implements process improvement strategies.
    • Provides day to day direction to non-clinical staff including: coaching and training, in conjunction with the RN-Practice Manager.
    • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and with policies and procedures.
    • Ensures a high level of employee, patient and physician satisfaction.
    • Ensures efficiency, productivity and sufficient financial resources, including adequate reserves to meet all current and projected financial requirements.
    • Manages external communication with other physicians and their respective office staff to monitor and ensure service quality and satisfaction.
    • Ensures that billing process is followed and coding/documentation is sent to PFS in a timely manner.
    • Directs the planning, operation, maintenance and updating of the information systems used within the department.
    • Facilitates cross-training of all staff for adequate office coverage.
    • Acts as patient liaison for patient billing concerns, questions.
    • Coordinates and facilitates transition from current paper medical records to EMR system; assures necessary medical records are available for physician visits and patient communication.
    • Trains as Super-user for EMR systems.
    • Complies with and ensures office and hospital-wide performance excellence standards are followed.
    • Escalates any concerns to RN-Practice Manager to address.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
