The Senior PACS / RIS Administrator will be responsible for maintenance and support of all Pictorial Archiving Communication Systems and Radiology systems at Eisenhower Medical Center. The Senior PACS / RIS Administrator will work with the Information Systems team and the departments using the systems to resolve issues and ensure system availability.

Essential Responsibilities
-
Responsible for developing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining day-to-day operations of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).

Assist radiologists, technologist and staff with hanging protocols, exam filters, dictation system and reporting modules.
-
Engineer connectivity between imaging modalities and PACS. Learn modality imaging software to assist users and troubleshoot problems. These include Siemens Syngo, Fischer Imaging and Terarecon 3D Reconstruction systems.

Support transcription staff with dictation system and reporting module.

Install software and train referring physicians on imaging products and IkeMD.

Train surgical staff on imaging tools in surgical suites.

Provide support and budget figures to Breast Center, Radiology Department, EIC, EICC and EUCC facilities for equipment & reporting features.

Interface with McKesson Medical Imaging on problem resolution and provide feedback for product enhancements.

Work closely with hospital directors and medical directors on requests, enhancements and project management.

Create management reports in RIS system.

Oversee radiology report distribution via printing, fax and HL7 interfaces to IkeMD and PACS.
-
Monitor performance logs to ensure systems are operating in a fast and reliable manner. Suggest alternatives for performance improvement.

Ensure effective communication with physicians and other clinical personnel. Ensure effective communication within and between assigned departments , vendors and IS staff members.

Assist the departments in utilizing the software to support and maximize the operational benefits to achieve best practices.

Lead projects to as assigned.

Make recommendations for SAN, NAS and Centera long-term growth

Ensure connectivity to imaging systems for weekly Breast, Lung and Annenberg Center Tumor Board conferences.

Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relations with peers, users and vendors.
-
Utilizes effective time and project management skills as well as organizational and personal skills to work with a variety of people.

Assure that all necessary documentation (i.e. procedures, processes) is properly completed.
