  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • The technologists demonstrate proficiency while operating radiology equipment. Performs a variety of radiology procedures utilizing all aspects of the equipment. Works well with physicians and staff to deliver excellent patient care in the operating room or pain management setting.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: Graduation from an accredited educational program in diagnostic Radiology Technology approved by the American Medical Association and the American College of Radiology
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required: California CRT, California Flouroscopy license, and American Heart Association BLS.
    • Experience
      • Preferred: Extensive orthopedic experience and pain management experience
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
    • Proficiency operating C-arm during surgical or pain management procedures and other appropriate radiology equipment.
    • Works with physicians and other staff to deliver excellence in patient care in the operating room or pain management setting.
    • Understands principles of sterile field.”
    • Interviews patient and places patient on examining table following protocols set up by the Physicians
    • Observes patients and explains procedures and makes exposure, using proper shielding devices.
    • Views final images to insure optimum quality and images are available for physician review.
    • Completes patient exam and takes patient back to assigned area
    • Performs weekly Fluoroscopic phantom testing and keeps logs per state requirements.
    • Performs Fluoro tests on new lead aprons, marks them and documents in log book.
    • Performs annual Fluoro tests on all lead aprons and documents in log book”
    • Makes certain all x-ray charges are put on patients chart and enters charges as necessary.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of patients age-specific needs and provides the care needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
