  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • Works under the supervision of the Lead Technologist and Staff Radiologist. Performs a variety of radiology procedures utilizing all aspects of the equipment. Responsible for producing films as needed.

    • Education
      • Graduation from an accredited educational program in diagnostic Radiology Technology approved by the American Medical Association and the American College of Radiology
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required: CRT, ARRT, American Heart Association BLS (on hire). Fluoro License (within 6 months of hire)

  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Obtain all pertinent medical information from patient to identify age specific needs.
    • Performs Radiographic procedures of high technical quality.
    • Utilizes proper radiation protection to protect patient from excessive radiation.
    • Proficient in use of all equipment reporting all deficiencies to immediate supervisor
    • Stocks x-ray rooms between exams and at end of shift.
    • Assists in other areas of the Radiology department as assigned.
    • Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures as ordered, Assists Radiologist performing procedure.
    • Able to take on additional procedures during periods of heavy workload.
    • Documents any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms.
    • Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination and prepares patient for exam.
    • Performs receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties as needed.
    • Produces radiographs and practices isolation techniques per policy and procedures.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of patients age-specific need and provide the care needed.
    • Preforms other duties as assigned.
    • Follows ALARA guideline and uses Universal Precautions in all situations.
