  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • As a Ultrasound Technologist you will have a current CPR license and if you have an ARDMS license it should be current. Duties will include knowledge of all invasive and noninvasive US procedures. Proficient in all diagnostic US imaging, portable exams and Nicolet Vascular Lab exams. The US tech will have operating knowledge of all Ultrasound equipment and computer based systems. Technologists should perform sonographic exams of the highest technical quality. The US Tech will give correct and detailed patient histories and accurate interpretations of exams. The Ultrasound Tech will have good communication skills with the coworkers, patients and other staff.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: Certificate/Grad from accredited Ultrasound school

    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required:  RDMS, ARDMS and RVT,  American Heart Association BLS, RVT (within 6-months of hire)
    • Experience
      • Required: Proficient scanning general and vascular exams
      • Preferred: 1-2 years experience
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates proficiency of sonogram procedures and physiologic vascular test procedures in order to provide high quality ultrasound and vascular testing to assist physicians in the diagnosis of patients.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in performance of diagnostic sonograms including carotids, venous, arterial and abdominal duplex color imaging.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in performing PPG, digital blood pressure, ankle-brachial indices and other physiologic vascular testing.
    • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures to include taking vital signs and measurements, positioning and explaining procedures; review medical histories of patients.
    • Responsible for the compilation and distribution of reports and files.
    • Responsible for the physiological monitoring and care of patients during procedures.
    • Responsible for creating an encounter for each patient documentation services performed.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or physician.
