Job Objective:
Ensures the procurement and distribution of supplies and services, ensuring that duties are performed in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and company policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Reviews, processes and monitors purchase requests, in a timely manner.
- Resolves purchase order/invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Requests Return Authorization or Return for Credit from vendor in a timely manner.
- Notifies a department of a backorder situation, communicating the estimated time of arrival from vendor. Offers department a substitute item if appropriate and makes every effort to satisfy customer’s needs
- Answers the phone in a courteous manner and promptly responds to voice-mail and emails within the same business day to acknowledge receipt of the communication
- Enters data into MMIS system in a timely and accurate manner
- Performs duties with a focus on assuring availability of products and services for end users at best prices.
- Performs various duties related to Procurement, Distribution, Contract Management, Contract Compliance and Inventory.
Essential Skils:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written Must be capable of dealing with Physicians, hospital personnel, patients and visitors
- Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, scanner, telephone, etc.)
- Ability to provide execpetional customer service
- Ability to use personal computer with demonstrated knowledge of software programs, ie, Excel, Word, and Access is preferable
