Job Description:

Education:

Required: High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
Preferred: Associate’s degree

Licensure/Certification:

Required: N/A

Experience:

Required: Five (5) years office, with one (1) year medical background, preferably in Purchasing

Job Objective:

Ensures the procurement and distribution of supplies and services, ensuring that duties are performed in a cost-effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and company policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Reviews, processes and monitors purchase requests, in a timely manner.
  • Resolves purchase order/invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Requests Return Authorization or Return for Credit from vendor in a timely manner.
  • Notifies a department of a backorder situation, communicating the estimated time of arrival from vendor. Offers department a substitute item if appropriate and makes every effort to satisfy customer’s needs
  • Answers the phone in a courteous manner and promptly responds to voice-mail and emails within the same business day to acknowledge receipt of the communication
  • Enters data into MMIS system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Performs duties with a focus on assuring availability of products and services for end users at best prices.
  • Performs various duties related to Procurement, Distribution, Contract Management, Contract Compliance and Inventory.

Essential Skils:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written Must be capable of dealing with Physicians, hospital personnel, patients and visitors
  • Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, scanner, telephone, etc.)
  • Ability to provide execpetional customer service
  • Ability to use personal computer with demonstrated knowledge of software programs, ie, Excel, Word, and Access is preferable
