Education:
Required: Masters degree in Social Work, or Marriage, Family & Child Counseling
Licensure/Certification:
Required: CA Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist (LMFT) or Marriage, Family Therapist Intern (MFTI) Licensing within 3 years of hire or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Experience:
Preferred: Experience providing therapy to children and families, Spanish bilingual
Job Objective:
Conducts individual, family and group counseling, and performs psychotherapy with children and families as part of a multidisciplinary team. Must possess excellent clinical and people skills. Implements client care in compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Works with minimal supervision under the direction of the Clinical Director.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Performs psychotherapy with clients and their families with a wide range of problems and complexity.
- Keeps current and accurate progress notes; conducts clinical intakes and assessments as necessary.
- Provides availability for crisis intervention; provides diagnoses and develops treatment plans.
- Demonstrates complex and mature diagnostic skills and is a role model for other staff.
- Provides courtroom testimony as required.
- Participates as part of a multidisciplinary team and management teams as required.
- Maintains current and accurate progress notes.
- Participates in Children’s Center’s on-call program.
- Assess and provides crisis intervention.
- Prepares complete and comprehensive treatment plan for each client.
- Provides after hour on-call service.
- Maintains professional, legal and ethical standards.
- Renders the required number of client contacts and schedule.
- Seeks Consultation appropriately.

- Demonstrates knowledge of mental health care delivery and familiarity with client payer sources, billing and collection issues and the functioning of a multidisciplinary interagency teams
