  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • Responsible for managing the Raisers Edge Database Management system. This involves entering and/or modifying data in the database system; developing data reports, processing and preparing renewal notices, and tribute acknowledgments. Continually updates records of donors, develops mailing lists, manages the on-line donor program and event management features associated with Raisers Edge. Participates in various Blackbaud training sessions to increase aptitude with Raisers Edge.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
      • Preferred: Some business school classes, information technology knowledge
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Preferred: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification in Access

    • Experience
      • Required: Two (2) years of database software experience using Raisers Edge or similar software.
      • Preferred: Experience working with donors and developing donor messages and correspondence
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Exhibits an understanding of various donor clubs and donation opportunities.
    • Assists in processing annual giving and memorial/tribute gifts, preparing posting sheets, posting to Raiser’s Edge, and letters for donors and those individuals being acknowledged.
    • Assists in preparing and running reports related to the fundraising process.
    • Keeps date input and all filings up to date.
    • Maintains database systems, services, and procedures, including data entry and reporting applications.
    • Maintains and expands expertise through self-directed reading and studying, formal training opportunities, and vendor-supplied information resources.
    • Coordinates, analyzes, and provides donor prospect information as needed and upon request.
    • Assists the Executive Director in identifying new prospects.
    • Provides and follows customer service standards of excellence.
    • Assists with day-to-day maintenance and integrity of the donor and prospect databases using Raisers Edge software, including data entryWorks collaboratively with others on events and projects as assigned. Creates and provides event reports from Raiser’s Edge
    • Acts as a resource to staff when possible and appropriate to assist in solving problems of advanced complexity related to other BSCC systems and software; interfaces with Eisenhower Health Information Systems and Eisenhower Health Foundation when necessary.
    • Makes an effort to know “who is who: donor wise; remembers names and as much appropriate donor information as possible, i.e., their donor history and BSCC involvement, if any are BSCC Board Members, Affiliate Board Members; Foundation level donors, etc.
    • Supports the creation of detailed ticket sales records, event seating lists, and income tracking for all ticketed events.
    • Oversees the production of technically complex mail mergers, flyers, name tags, etc.
    • Conducts monthly/periodic billing letters to membership groups.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
