Job Description:

Education:

Required: High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree

Licensure/Certification:

N/A

Experience:

Required: Two (2) years of healthcare or administrative experience
Preferred: Admitting or insurance experience in healthcare

Job Objective:

Provides administrative support for the department and assists with scheduling appointments and tests for 24/7 patients; plays a critical role in recognizing donors who make significant contributions to Eisenhower Health.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Acts as direct liaison for all
  • Calls patients for availability and scheduling.
  • Prepares typed schedule for patients with multiple appointments.
  • Collects patient information, CDs, films etc. and sends them to appropriate department.
  • Schedules outpatient testing and/or procedure appointments with appropriate departments.
  • Assures patients and/or families have information to contact
  • Order department supplies and schedules office maintenance.
  • Assist with workflow for
  • Assists
  • Assists RN’s and physicians with Epic “Care Everywhere”.
  • Acts as liaison for maintenance/care of
  • Answers all incoming phone calls, routing as needed.
  • Picks up or delivers packages on campus.
  • Processes communications/arrangements for
  • Identifies patients through use of proper method of retrieving patient history/information to avoid creation of duplicate Medical Records for additional patient visits.
  • Verifies and accurately enters and updates patient information while registering as per departmental guidelines.

Essential Skils:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Ability to handle patient complaints and feedback professionally, facilitating resolutions to enhance patient satisfaction
  • Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information
  • Ability to create a welcoming environment for patients and visitors, demonstrating empathy and respect in all interactions
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to organize patient’s schedules efficiently
