Job Objective:
Implements, modifies and supervises therapeutic program for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation patients. Assesses and re-assesses patient throughout the program to modify plan of care. Maintains appropriate clinical records and consistently documents data in the appropriate area.

Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or other related healthcare field
Preferred: Master's degree in in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Kinesiology
Licensure/Certification:
Required: American Heart Association BLS
Preferred: ACSM Certification of Exercise Physiology & Health Fitness Specialist
Experience:
Required: Two (2) years of experience in fitness, personal training or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Kinesiology in lieu of experience
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Performs fitness evaluations and creates exercise prescriptions in conjunction with clinical assessment evaluations.
- Instructs group strength-training, or other related exercise class, in correlation with our cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program.
- Tracks participation and adjusts fitness classes based on evaluation of group demographics including age, fitness levels and medical conditions.
- Observes participants during exercise for signs of stress and demonstrates correct use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Conducts lectures within areas of education and expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to stay current with new exercises, techniques/developments, and equipment through continuing education conferences/seminars, and professional societies/journals

- Ability to speak in front of groups with confidence and clarity
- Ability to create and lead group fitness programs safely and effectively for a primarily geriatric population with varied levels of fitness and medical conditions
- Ability to communicate positively with participants, co-workers, and management
- Ability to support lecture series with participation in fitness
