  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
      • Under the supervision of the Manager-Facilities assists in delivering quality, cost effective healthcare by being responsible for and performing routine repairs and maintenance to critical equipment and facilities. Maintains the facility within JCAHO, OSHA, Department of Health and all regulatory requirements.  Works in a variety of shifts to provide maintenance support to the hospital and clinic buildings on and off campus.

        • Required: Three (3) years of experience in maintenance field in healthcare setting
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • 1.    Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
      2.    Performs general maintenance of systems and buildings and in a craftsman – like manner without callbacks for clean up or repeat work.
      3.    Completes scheduled preventive maintenance and maintains accurate records, notes, corrections and insures inspections are up to date.
      4.    Completes requested repairs within same day of issuance or 1 day of estimated completion date. Immediately communicates status either completed work or expected completion time to the end user. If end user is not available a message will be left in the department/office stating status.
      5.    Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
      6.    Immediately informs management of any non – compliant issued regarding doors and access / egress.
      7.    Completes scheduled preventive maintenance at 95% or better completion rate.
      8.    Communicates with Supervisor and end user when undue delays / conflicts occur in performing repair work.
      9.    Assumes responsibility of any assigned work request to ensure satisfactory completion. Contacts Supervisor if any outside assistance is needed.
      10.    Completes all documentation in a timely manner.
      11.    Works with plumbing vendors on repairs and unclogging operations.
      12.    Monitors the pneumatic tube system and provides troubleshooting assistance.
      13.    Attend EOC rounding with Quality department to clinic buildings.
      14.    Provides maintenance support for all clinic buildings on main campus.
      15.    Trains new staff members on repair and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
      16.    Performs other duties as assigned.
