    • Performs ongoing review of patient’s rhythm, rate, and interpretation. Communicates with RN any issues with telemetry readings.

      • Required: EKG Class
      • Preferred: Medical Terminology Class

  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
    • Interprets rhythm strips accurately
    • Documents rhythm strips according to existing hospital guidelines
    • Communicates to oncoming shift a review of patients rhythm, rate, dysrhythmias, alarms
    • Communicates events in a timely manner: i.e.: all rhythm/rate changes, and dysrhythmias, and or issues with telemetry readings (i.e.: leads off, low battery, loss of signal, poor wave form, etc.) to RN
    • Documents events in the EMR
    • Activate “Code Blue” for a lethal arrhythmia
    • Performs other duties as assigned
