Works under the supervision of the Supervisor and Staff Radiologist. Performs a variety of radiology procedures utilizing all aspects of the equipment. Responsible for producing films as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities
-
Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
-
Obtain all pertinent medical information from patient to identify age specific needs.
-
Performs Radiographic procedures of high technical quality.
-
Utilizes proper radiation protection to protect patient from excessive radiation.
-
Proficient in use of all equipment reporting all deficiencies to immediate supervisor

Maintains x-ray rooms neatly and stocked for exams and at end of shift.
-
Eagerly assists in other areas of the Radiology department as assigned.
-
Efficiently completes a typical days work within scheduled shift.

Able to take on additional procedures during periods of heavy work load.

Uses time between procedures to maintain a safe clean environment.
-
Uses time between procedures to insure supplies are of adequate levels.
-
Uses hospital information management system for patient demographics and other patient information.

Communicates pertinent information and unfinished tasks to relief personnel.

Communicates with co-workers piror to breaks and lunches to ensure continuity of workflow.

Complies with departmental plan to meet budget goals.

Completes procedure with high technical quality to produce a high quality recording of the procedure.

Communicates observations of patient condition changes to RN/MD.

Provides safe patient environment at all times;

Stays with patient who may be in danger of falling and hurting themselves.

Safe transportation of patient.

Correctly identifies patient by use of arm band.

Demonstrates and maintains aseptic technique during a procedure.

Demonstrates cost effectiveness by using judgment when opening and using supplies.
- Properly disposes of all sharps and biohazardous waste.
