Job Objective:
Ensures that all patients have a satisfying registration experience and are provided with choices, options and counseling to assist them in making their healthcare decisions. Serves as the first point of contact for patients/visitors and graciously answers questions and assists in providing directions as needed. Coordinates notification to Admitting staff to ensure timely registration process is implemented.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Greets patients/visitors and provides assistance as needed.
- Maintains awareness of patient sequence order during waiting period.
- Assists in the proper identification of patients that need to be registered by Admitting/Registration personnel.
- Constantly stays in contact with patients in lobby to ensure they are comfortable and informed.
- Respects at all times the Confidentiality of patient information and maintains a high level of discretion.
- Maintains wheelchair availability at all times in the lobby area.
- Organizes and maintains cleanliness of work area and supply cabinets.
- Reviews E-mail notifications on a daily basis and responds within
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skils:
- Excellent Customer service, excellent communication skills, Verbal and written skills and the ability to deal with difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
- Ability to operate general office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, scanner, telephone, etc.)
- Computer literate in usage of (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
