  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • This position is responsible for scheduling, checking in and out the patients electronically, appointment scheduling, collecting fees, verify insurance, and scanning paper work completed by patients.

  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Greet and check-in patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, copies insurance cards; having patient complete new registration forms if there are any changes.
    • Responsible for scheduling new patient and follow-up appointments, providing patients with written confirmation.
    • Answers all incoming calls in a timely manner. Answer questions of callers according to EDCC policy and forwards calls to the appropriate person.
    • Responsible for scanning Coumadin Sheets on a daily basis for physician approval; questionable Coumadin Sheets to be called into physicians directly.
    • Responsible for sorting and routing incoming faxes, messages, prescription refill requests, EMC and outside lab protimes.
    • Responsible for entering new patient demographic information.
    • Responsible for processing patient appointment reminder letters and protime re-check letters in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for accurately entering patient charges on a daily basis.
    • Maintains the patient waiting room in a neat and orderly state, straightening up at the end of the day.
    • Responsible for checking in, unpacking and stocking supply.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or physician.
