Job Objective:

Collaborates with clinic leadership to oversee and manage financial performance in the ambulatory setting. Monitors and analyzes operational business metrics to ensure clinics are providing quality care in a way that is financially sustainable. Partners with Finance, Professional Billing and Payer Relations departments to address billing concerns, identify cost mitigation efforts, and propose new revenue streams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  •  Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  •  Prepares and analyzes regional business operations reports to develop and present recommendations to leadership relating to financial performance, productivity metrics and revenue cycle management. 
  •  Partners with clinic leadership to improve patient access, scheduling efficiency and standardized workflows and ensures consistency across region. 
  •  Develops improvement plans by analyzing patient access measures and business operation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); partners with clinic leaders to implement changes. 
  •  Ensures clinic-level adherence to regulatory, billing, and documentation standards across the areas of responsibility.
  •  Partners with Finance department to prepare, manage, and monitor annual operating budgets for multiple clinics and service line cost centers.
  •  Identifies financial risks and opportunities across clinics and leads implementation of revenue cycle and expense management improvement strategies.
  •  Provides regional oversight of day-to-day business operations for clinics, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with service line goals.
  •  Develops action plans for use in clinics by analyzing costs associated with employee overtime, missed meal period penalties, and other labor-related indicators across region.
  • Establishes and tracks standardized regional performance benchmarks across clinics.
  • Partners with the Clinic Billing department to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimization of billing processes. 
  • Reviews and oversees regional contracts and invoices, partnering with the Office of Legal Affairs to ensure timely review and execution.
  •  Oversees purchasing requisitions and vendor relationships across multiple clinics to ensure cost control and operational consistency.
  •  Manages regional capital projects, including preparation and submission of equipment purchase requests and oversight of approved initiatives. 
  •  Works with senior leadership on the operational planning and implementation for new clinics, expansions, or service line growth as assigned.
  •  Supports clinic leadership by providing feedback on best practices relating to training and orientation of staff within clinics. 
  •  Participates in Revenue Cycle and Finance training, meetings, and strategic initiatives as required.
  •  Collaborates on information systems and telephone system issue resolution affecting multiple clinics.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned.
