Job Description:

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification:

Required: Current Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or Current Serve Safe

Experience:

Required: Two (2) years of restaurant or food service experience
Preferred: Supervisory experience

Job Objective:

Enhances customer relations using positive service, oriented interactions. Acts as resource to the nutritional services team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Answers phones within three rings using dept scripting
  • Ensures all positions are covered and employees on task
  • Maintains workable knowledge of all department schedules and routes
  • Prepares project assignments, schedules, safety tips and daily assignments
  • Completes daily patient meal rounds.
  • Ensures proper food handling procedures are being followed
  • Ensures sanitation standards are being met
  • Completes QI /PI documentation
  • Verifies cash drawers and safe daily
  • Ensures retail areas are clean, stocked and ready for customers
  • Ensures all food in all service areas are within department standards.
  • Coaches employees.
  • Completes in-services for employees on annual requirements
  • Performs all other duties assigned.

Essential Skils:

  • Must be able to perform service recovery
  • Must be able to prepare schedules and daily assignments
  • Must be able to supervise nutritional services employees
  • Written and verbal communication skills
