Eisenhower Medical Center is Workplace of the Year
What makes a workplace great?
Maybe it’s the pay. Or the hours. Or great coworkers.
At Eisenhower Medical Center, we think it’s all those things — and so much more. We pride ourselves on offering not only a great healthcare experience for our patients, but also the best work experience for our employees.
That’s why we’re proud to have earned the 2016 Workplace of the Year Award from the Advisory Board Company. Eisenhower Medical Center is one of just 20 hospital and healthcare systems nationwide to receive this year’s award, which recognizes outstanding levels of employee engagement.
At Eisenhower Medical Center we know this award would not have been possible without our dedicated staff of intelligent, caring, selfless and dedicated nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals. We believe it “takes a village,” to provide extraordinary care to our patients and each other, and we think ours is pretty great.
Employee Engagement
Eisenhower was praised on its ability to engage employees, we believe this is a direct reflection on how we treat our staff. The Executive Director of Survey Solutions at the Advisory Board Company says it best, “Engaging the workforce is arguably more important now than ever before, with all signs indicating that we are heading into a staffing shortage”. With the upcoming nursing shortage and the baby-boomer workforce retiring we know it is extremely important that we keep our healthcare professionals satisfied and happy. We know the value of an experienced Eisenhower Medical Center employee and we know we don’t want to loose them, that is why we do everything we can to make sure our staff feels supported, engaged, and are equipped with the tools to succeed. With constant employee education we make sure our employees are up to date on all of the latest procedures and technologies by holding seminars and education events that excite and engage our staff.
What We Stand For
Eisenhower Medical Center was founded and built on the principle of philanthropy more than 35 years ago. We also have a strong commitment to the health and well-being of not just our patients, but our staff and have developed a culture we call “Performance Excellence” that is modeled after the Disney Institute’s Service model. We highly value company culture and select employees we believe fit our organizational culture.
The Perks of Working for Eisenhower Medical Center
Working at Eisenhower Medical Center comes with significant perks. On top of our competitive compensation, we offer an exceptional package of benefits available just 31 days following employment. We want our employees to thrive both financially and physically. We also offer medical, dental, vision and retirement plans, as well as basic and supplemental life insurance for employees’ spouses, domestic partners or dependents. For certain circumstances we even offer financial assistance for relocation and an alternative work program. We care about your well-being far beyond our benefits package, however, and offer free employee health and wellness programs through our Renker Wellness Center. Eisenhower Medical Center staff is also routinely recognized with Longevity Service Award banquets and birthday and holiday celebrations, not to mention our Shining Stars Award that we give out monthly to employees for excelling in various areas of healthcare. It is important to Eisenhower Medical Center that our employees feel empowered and appreciated every day.
A final big thank you to all of our staff; we appreciate all the hard work our doctors, nurses, orderlies, sanitation workers, cafeteria staff, volunteers, and front desk associates have put into Eisenhower Medical Center.
