Job Objective: A professional nurse who possesses and demonstrates clinical skills and knowledge appropriate for the care of the patient undergoing a procedure or intervention in the Cath Lab. Utilizes the nursing process to plan, direct and coordinate care for a safe experience, often with conscious sedation. Monitors the hemodynamic status of the patient. Communicates with patient, family, physicians and ancillary departments. Contributes to department budget by cost effective use of time and supplies.
Education Required: Basic Arrhythmia and BSN or Must be enrolled in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete program within five years of hire.
Education Preferred: Critical Care Class
Licensure/Certification Required: California RN licensure, BLS, ACLS
Experience Preferred: Critical Care
