  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • The Donor Assistant/Shop Clerk will be assisting customers and donors with loading and unloading of merchandise as well as other retail duties like tagging items, processing paperwork, assisting with sales, maintaining cleanliness of the store and answering phones.

    • Education
      • None
    • Licensure/Certification
      • None
    • Experience
      • Required: Six (6) months of prior furniture moving and loading experience.
      • Preferred: Customer service and sales experience.
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Answers telephone when necessary.
    • Tags all incoming merchandise for identifying and inventory purposes.
    • Assists customers with loading and unloading merchandise.
    • Staffs and assists in any area of store when needed including helping with miscellaneous maintenance duties.

    • Assists with closing procedures at end of day to include locking up all doors and securing store.
    • Assists with building and maintenance cleanliness.
    • Assists with showroom setup and display as directed.
    • Maintains harmonious relationship with customers, donors, volunteers and staff.
    • Assists with sale of merchandise.
    • Attends and participates in staff meetings to promote teamwork.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
