  • Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
    • Responsible for producing quality screening and diagnostic mammography films, DEXA exams, educating patients regarding patient exams and accurately documenting procedures completed and procedure codes.

      This position is assigned at main campus and satellite facilities.

  • Qualifications
    • Education
      • Required: Graduate of an Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required: 
        o American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) – Radiology (R) 
        o California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) – Radiology 
        o CRT – Mammography (Eligible)
        o American Heart Association BLS

         

    • Experience
      • Required: None
      • Preferred: 1 year with screening mammography
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
    • Able to interact compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of procedures and equipment, and answering questions
    • Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started
    • Explains comparative film review and obtaining film release signature, as appropriate
    • Performs appropriate screening procedure
    • Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in Magview, EPIC, and PACS
    • Performs bone density screening as assigned
    • Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms
    • Follows department timekeeping procedures using KRONOS
    • Performs other duties as assigned
